Budget airlines and other holiday companies will face court action if they continue to charge customers inflated fees for processing debit and credit card transactions.

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) said companies levying unfair fees must change misleading debit and credit card surcharging practices or face enforcement action under consumer protection laws.
