HAVING three children diag-nosed with nut allergies has inspired one of Wales’s best-known food sector executives to launch a new venture.

Mr Woods, a former managing director of Finsbury Food Group business Memory Lane Cakes and Avana Bakeries in South Wales, has already signed a 14-week exclusive supply deal with 200 Sainsbury’s stores across UK for his new range of nut-free celebration cakes.

His new venture, the Just Love Food Company, was inspired by the fact that he and wife Karen were unable to find suitable nut-free birthday cakes for their three children; Jamilla, 14, Danika, 13 and Rourke 10.

Mr Woods: “Since my children were diagnosed with severe nut allergies in 2001, I have struggled to find suitable food products on the market dedicated to nut allergy sufferers.”

Following an extensive research from properties across South Wales Mr Woods has established a manufacturing operation in Caerphilly.
