Argentina’s state energy company Enarsa has opened economic offers for the bidding process to supply 1.02GW from renewable energies.
Groups participating in the process are Emgasud Renovables, Patagonia Wind Energy, Energías Sustentables, Intenational New Energy, Nor Aldyl, Generación Eólica, Sogesic, Industrias Juan Secco, Unitec Energy, Unitec Energy-San José Argentina, Invap, Tecsan Ingeniería Ambiental, Isolux Ingeniería-Gas y Petróleo de Neuquén-Ingeniería Sima, Isolux Ingenieria, Dalkia Argentina, Centrales Térmicas Mendoza, Fuentes Renovables de Energía, Impsa, Pan American Fueguinas, Fiduc, Sirj and Iecsa-Hidrocuyo, an Enarsa spokesperson told BNamericas.
Information on how long evaluation of economic bids would take was not provided.
Enarsa launched the tender last May and will offer 15-year PPAs for renewable projects of up to 50MW. More than 1.4GW of project proposals were submitted in December.
Half the tendered power capacity (500MW) will be set aside for wind projects.
The company also aims to secure 150MW from thermo plants fired with biofuels, 120MW waste-to-energy, 100MW biomass, 60MW mini-hydro, 30MW geothermal, 20MW solar and 20MW biogas.
