The Southern Cone division of US software company Infor has seen its CRM and SCM solutions post the highest growth so far during the company’s FY10, which will wind down on May 31, Infor’s channels director for the Southern Cone, José Cavoret, told BNamericas.

Although he was unable to provide concrete growth figures, Cavoret said the financial, retail and service sectors are pushing CRM sales higher. Meanwhile, logistics and consumer goods companies are showing the strongest demand for SCM sales.

Asset management has represented another top growth area, the executive said, noting that manufacturing firms are showing a growing inclination towards the adoption of this type of service.

PARTNER SEARCH

Infor’s Southern Cone division has signed up four new partners so far during the fiscal year, and will continue to shift business towards indirect sales.

Channel partners generate roughly 25% of the division’s sales, and Cavoret said the unit is seeking new alliances in Paraguay, Uruguay and southern parts of Chile to increase that figure.

“We are looking to develop new channels with our SCM, ERP and maintenance solutions,” he said. “We are not looking for a sales channel, but rather partner companies that can add value to the solution.”

The executive emphasized that Infor will leverage the new alliances to gain SME clients, and that the company will also rely on sales channels to win clients from enterprise software competitors.

Within Latin America, Infor has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico, and its customer base includes Brazilian financial group Bradesco (NYSE: BBD), Brazilian retailer Casas Bahia and Chilean triple-play operator VTR. Infor saw license sales in all of Latin America jump 100% during its last fiscal year.
