Mvelopes Application Updates

*** Top items we are currently working on ***

  • Solving any remaining log in issues for current members.  We don’t believe any large group of members is currently affected by log in issues, but we have received individual reports and are solving those on a case-by-case basis
  • Adding the ability to minimize the Spending Trends graphs within the Envelope registers, allowing you to view more transactions within that register
  • Improving scroll wheel functionality throughout the application
  • Allowing users the ability to get back to the list of accounts if they are in the middle of adding an account
  • Transaction assignment performance.

Updates – Release Dated 01/11/2012

  • Transactions screen now visible – A small number of users were unable to see the contents of the Transactions screen. This issue arose after members adjusted the size of the widgets on that Transactions screen, the view would continue to work for the current session, but would be unavailable at the next login. This issue was account specific, so it did not matter if the user tried to login with a different browser, or even a different computer.

Updates – Release Dated 01/07/2012

  • After login and enrollment, the application now launches in the same browser window rather than as a new window.
  • No longer receive an error when sorting by Envelope in the New Transactions screen (not seen by all users)
  • Scroll bar width has been increased
  • Deleted accounts no longer show up under the Spending Accounts pane on the Home screen (not seen by all users)
  • When Crown Mvelopes users attempt to login to www.mvelopes.com, they are now provided with a link to the correct login page (www.mvelopes.com/crown) instead of simply giving them a ‘Invalid Login Information’ message

Elliott Wave Theory can seem like a dream come true to traders. It offers traders a description of how markets should behave, with precise rules that help identify price targets in advance. Applying the rules, traders can determine market turning points by forecasting price moves to two decimal places of accuracy. Examples that are used to explain Elliott Wave usually show that the theory has worked with amazing accuracy in the past.

Numerical relationships based on the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci numbers are used to identify possible trading signals. Combined with an almost mystical explanation as to why Elliott should work, followers of the Theory often believe they hold the key to great riches in the markets if they correctly apply the strategy.

At its most basic level, the ideas behind Elliott claim to bring order to the chaotic movement of prices over the short-term.

How to Use Stock Volume?

We’ve discussed stock volume in the past, but I wanted to dedicate a full episode to explaining what a stock’s volume is, why it’s important, and why you should take a glance at the trend in volume, along with the trend of a stock’s price, before deciding to add it to your portfolio.

What is Stock Volume?

Let’s start with the basics: Volume refers to the number of shares traded at a particular time in a stock.  It’s most common to reference volume on the daily chart, which is how many shares have traded per day, but traders can compare volume readings on hourly charts as well.  For the purpose of building your winning portfolio, you’ll only need to view trends in volume on the daily or perhaps even the weekly chart in your favorite website such as StockCharts.com, Yahoo!
